Flyers sign Kendall Lewis from Illinois State University
The 6’8” forward has signed his first professional contract and joins the club on a one-year deal.
Lewis made 96 appearances during his three-year spell with the Redbirds and posted an average of 9.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game between 2021-24.
He follows in the footsteps of former Flyer Zach Copeland to become the second player from Illinois State University to sign his first professional deal with the Flyers.
Speaking on his decision to join the Flyers, Lewis said: “It’s always been a dream of mine to play professionally and I'm very excited to be for it to be in Bristol.
"I’ve never been to England before, but from what I’ve seen it looks beautiful and I can't wait to get out there and make it my second home.
"Coach Kapoulas has told me all about the Flyers organisation and how he sees me using my size and versatility to thrive in this league.
"I’m excited to get out there and meet the guys. I want the Flyers fans to know that there is a dawg on the way!
"We’re going to have a great season and I wanna play my part in taking us all the way to a championship.”
Lewis began his collegiate career with Appalachian State, where he featured 42 times in the Sun Belt Conference and averaged 7.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

“He is a tenacious rebounder that plays with great energy on both ends of the floor and can really fill up the stat sheet.
“He has made an impact at Illinois State on and off the court and we are excited to see him join our programme.”
