Flyers sign Demond Robinson from KSU
Bristol Flyers have added 6'9" forward Demond Robinson to their roster out of Kennesaw State University.
The American forward has signed his first professional contract with the club and joins on a one-year deal.
Robinson was the third leading scorer for Kennesaw State last season, averaging 12.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, on 62% shooting from the field and 32% from behind the three-point line.
Speaking on his decision to begin his professional career with the Flyers, Robinson said: "Honestly it feels great - I’m so happy. I’ve come a long way to get here and I’m ready to get started.
"When I first looked at Bristol I could tell that this is a place where I could feel at home.
"The thing that stood out for me the most when talking to Coach Kapoulas was the relationship that he’s built with the community. I came out of that conversation with a lot of excitement to meet the rest of the Flyers Family.
"I want to thank the Flyers organisation for the opportunity and trust me when I say it's going to be a fun and exciting year.”
Robinson began his college career at Murray State between 2019-2021, where he averaged 6.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Following a transfer to Kennesaw State in 2021, his averages increased every season over the next three years, where he became a regular starter for the Owls and one of the top players in the ASUN and C-USA.
Flyers Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas added "Demond is a physical, athletic big that brings a dynamic, versatile skillset to our team.
“His inside out game, combined with his defensive presence will be a great addition to our style of play.
“He helped turn around the fortunes of KSU from a losing record side to becoming conference champions, securing an NCAA tournament appearance along the way.
“We are thrilled to add him to our roster for this season.”
