Corey Samuels returns to Flyers for 20th Anniversary season
The Bristol-born guard has signed a deal for the 2024/25 campaign that will see him compete his fourth straight season with the club.
The 24-year-old, who recently graduated with a degree in Business and HR Management from the University of the West of England, will once again compete for his hometown team, having come through all of the junior age groups at the Flyers and the SGS Basketball Academy.
Speaking on his decision to return to the club, Samuels said: "It feels great to be back with the Flyers this season. Bristol is my home.
"We’ve got all the right tools in place at the club to set us up for success and I really want to push for silverware and bring a championship back to Bristol.
"The Flyers fans are the best fans in British Basketball, so I’m excited to play in front of them at the SGS College Arena this season.”
Samuels featured in a bigger role for Flyers last season, averaging over 12 minutes per game across his 36 appearances for the team.
Flyers Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas said: "Corey’s role has grown over the last three years, whilst balancing his playing commitments with his university studies.
"With him graduating earlier this year, his full attention will now be playing for the club and I know he has been working hard this summer to make the most of it.
"He is from Bristol, he has come through our pathway, he has a year of European experience under his belt and he is ready for a big season ahead."
